AVATAR AANG & KORRA
This piece features Aang and Korra dressed in their ceremonial outfits, worn during their last appearance in each animated series.
THE SEVEN CHAKRAS
Featured are the seven chakra points that help the Avatar enter and control the Avatar State: 土 (Earth), 水 (Water), 火 (Fire), 風 (Air), 音 (Sound), 光 (Light), and 思 (Thought). Aang holds the Sound Chakra, which symbolizes overcoming his denial and accepting his destiny as the Avatar. Korra holds the Light Chakra, which symbolizes her achievement in breaking the illusion of separation and unifying the Spirit World with the Human World.
Featured are the unique hand poses representing the power of energybending. This ability was passed down from the ancient lion turtles and used by select Avatars to restore or remove another person’s bending. Aang represents the ability to remove, seen during his battle with Phoenix King Ozai. Both Korra and the fire lion turtle represent the ability to restore, seen with the return of Lin Beifong’s earthbending, and Wan’s ability to bend the element of fire in the spirit wilds.
Prior to Earth Kingdom-born Avatar Kiyoshi, the Avatar cycle goes further back with Water Tribe-born Avatar Kuruk, Air Nomad-born Avatar Yangchen, an unnamed Fire Nation-born Avatar, and an unnamed Earth Kingdom-born Avatar.
Featured alongside the Avatar predecessors are the ancient lion turtles. Each lion turtle is distinguishable by the pattern on their forehead, which is associated with the four elements used by the Avatar.
